Class of 2026 New Commit: Cody Mabry (TX) Attack (10/18/25)

Interesting choice to have a guy just hyping him up for 3 and a half mins instead of music, but some good stuff in this one. Really like the speed he can generate on his shots. Maybe Mr. DeJoe was some help there. The ball really pops out of the stick. Good looking speed and athleticism too. We always seem to need more righties so that helps. Should be a solid addition with a high ceiling.

Any info on if Mabry's spring games will be available on youtube or anywhere else? It'd be fun to watch them.

I realize I'm having a conversation with myself at this point. It looks like Mabry is now at The Woodlands HS, coached by the Demaio's. They've had 3 games already shellacking a few teams. They play Dallas Jesuit on 2/21 and Highland Park (Harrison Cullum's school) on 2/28.

Edit: I can't find any videos of the 3 games they've played already.

Cody, welcome to to

Pretty sure TWHS won 7-5 and Mabry had 4 goals for TWHS. TWHS had a hard time solving DJ's zone and in the 4th Q Mabry created a couple shots for himself and canned them,

Not a lot out there on Mabry, so any information is certainly appreciated. I can't add much as being a late flip I was not familiar with him but seems like he could be a steal.

I watched TWHS offensive possessions. At first I was impressed with the way they moved the ball and their spacing, but they couldn’t score vs. DJ’s zone until Mabry took over for a couple possessions. DJ’s goalie was also playing well. He was chippy with Mabry at the end of the game. It looked like Mabry was chirping a bit during the game.

Mabry likes to hang out in the right shooting wing. He moved around a little bit from the wing to the crease and back probably to get open for a shot. He played a little at the top of the box and some behind the goal. He has a bit of Eric Spanos to me, in that he’s a violent dodger and shooter. He scored a BTB goal off a rebound and had some outside shots that scored.

To me there is a strange contrast of what the SU offense has been recently with smaller, skilled and smart players and what the offense may look like in a year or two with bigger guys like Bear, Meyer and Mabry. Mabry’s only six feet but he can pack on some more weight. I’m sure the SU offense will still have some small skilled guys so it may not be a big difference.
