Flip from Navy looks like. Not surprising Joe Spallina (I believe) in the picture Woody posted.

Tyler Cordes ’20, M, Connetquot (N.Y.) / Team 91 CrushThey were very few midfielders who displayed a tendency to initiate from the midfield for the benefit of his teammates more so than Cordes did throughout the camp. He was consistently dodging from up top, shaking up defenders with shifty split dodges and looking for an open player to dish. He was also a workhorse, seemingly out on every possession offensively for his regular camp team and in the 2020 All-Star game, where he had a quietly excellent performance with a handful of assists. He’s unselfish and a hustler, and impresses with his quickness, polish and game sense.

I’ve seen him play a number of times and jumps out of the screen, part of the Team91 Crush team that dominated club Lacrosse. Cordes, Joey Spallina and Caccamo all played on the same 91 team.

We really need a pipeline from Team91 & Sweetlax Upstate.

Grateful for read but wish more current write-up and evaluation. Much can change one either direction in four years

Pipelines are great to have but best to be judicious in selecting from.. Recall Breschi several years ago overly drawing from one heralded LI club and then appearing white as a ghost as he watched a decent HS team toying with that club at his camp. That crop delivered average yield. Always advisable to expand contacts and open as many pipelines while remaining on outlook for some individuals who possess certain traits that can be developed despite not being on the best known.

He was at Navy for sure I’ve seen it on his Instagram.

Do they have to do a year there first before they can play? Don’t Army have the same thing?
It's not mandatory. Depends on grades, readiness, etc.

It looks like he was at NAPS (Navy Prep), which is a prep year for people who get deferred entry to the Naval Academy. Should still have 4 years eligibility. And yes, West pt. has the same.

Normally yes but from Team 91 and Sweetlax over he last few years you couldn’t really go wrong! They already have players at DI this year and most started as freshman.

Very good point - you could argue that Syracuse has had a pipeline to IMG recently and that hasn't produced much production. Still, it's great to see the team drawing from Long Island. Also have to imagine Joe Spallina was involved in this, and if there were kids he didn't beleive in, he wouldn't be shuttling them on to play with his son in college.

Highlights from 2019 - he is pretty short but solidily built. Also seems like he has a tremendous motor, never stops moving on the field. Good shooter and some nice passes as well. Size might be a concern but other than that looks like a good player.

Been away from club scene for years but helped a startup. Remember the sum can be greater at times than the individual parts . We'd lose big to all the names but also had relative unknown who'd run circles around top comp before running off to another sport rather than the circuit that everyone sees. Scouts with good eyes and contacts eventually locate .Know 91 and sweetlax have many good teams under different names , guess the best these days are smash and maryland and nationals .for sweetly. Guess my pt is be careful about any becoming the default because field of talent is wide and some are turned off by joining what they consider to be a social . Heard it the other day from a commit who had little interest in Cuse for that reason.
