The resources necessary to fly around the country to meet kids who are being recruited heavily by schools closer to them, seems like a very low margin strategy.  The type of players we’ll probably get on campus who live 1000+ miles away are players were competing with, nobody has ever heard of, D2 schools.

I think you actually made my point with Cohoon.  He didn’t even have an offer from Kansas or Kansas state.  His offer sheet is pretty weak.  I think Ithaca Matt did a good job pointing out his potential flaws.  We have no idea if he can play the position at the ACC level.  At this point he’s a project with speed.  We’re not going to make bowl games with a roster of projects from around the country.
