I agree with studs, we desperately have lacked finishers in recent years. What has really really hurt us is 3 straight rough years from our mid/upperclassmen. 2 years ago 1. jr rak wasn't doing to much(I don't think he was ready), 2. Sophmore Jerami grant was pretty darn good but had his jumpshooting issues on top of losing 15 pounds preseason. 3. sophmore gbinije (really a jr) still a year away. 4. dajuan was injured.(No Rak at PF) 5.Sr. Keita only averaged 2 points in 15 minutes. 1 year ago 1. jr cooney had some rough shooting percentages 2. sophmore roberson wasn't doing much, 3.soph BJ and 4. Patterson weren't doing much. 5. Ennis left by suprise (I will leave out Cmac and Grant returning it was their time to go). 6. dajuan injured. 7. McCullough injured. This year 1. sophmore kjo 2. junior obokoh aren't ready for this level of ball yet, 3. sr cooney and 4. dajuan have had a few good points but they are pretty rare and fluxuate., 5. roberson is just beginning to find his offensive game freethrows have been really rough. 6. BJ and 7. Ron forced out by the scholorship reduction. 8. Gbinije went from shooting 52% from three before acc play to like 20% now he is taking it inside now though. conclusion, Just a lot of dead weight we carried the last 3 years. This year we are alittle better then last in the dead weight department because we have 2 great freshmen options, however we still have alot of fluxuations in rebounding, center defense, three point shooting incosistant as is 3rd 4th options at times, we give up 50% from the field way to much, and don't force to many turnovers against teams with good paint soring. Sometimes we finish well at the rim others we don't, therefore we have a ton to work on and keep in our short term memory. Its like the old adam sandler flaming brown bag on the doorstep. All the fluxations in players games the last couple of years are irritating.
