They tried to play the first game ever against Norfolk State but the school didn't exist at the time nor did anyone at Rutgers know the rules of the game, so they all sat around and stared at the empty trophy case.

The feathers might be considered an invasion of rights by the Onondaga Nation. I always loved "The saltine warrior"but that was scrapped by the Native Americans in the area. I personally never thought it to be an insult quite like the Washington Redskins which to me is freaking unbelievable the grandfathering considerationTry saying the color of other races in a team name and see what it gets you besides a short 15 minutes of nation indignation.
