His biggest issue, to me, remains his play on the defensive end. He routinely gets caught out of position and the opposition seems to take advantage of that too often.

I agree. Too often he's disappeared when he can't buy a bucket.

Tonight he played 11 minutes, had other positive stats, and played hard out here. He even hit the floor for a loose ball. Looked like a high-level basketball player, albeit a scoreless one.

Nobody hit 3s tonight, not just JS. I say he continues to work hard on the court in other capacities even if the shots aren't falling to get more PT. I also believe JS will start hitting 3s in big games, and the tone of the nay sayers will change and everyone will be Dirty Dancing!

This wasn't a James from last year game where he missed a bunch of shots and didn't do anything else. As a few have said, he was all over the floor and rebounded well. He wasn't as out of position as you say, They moved up the wings to cover the 3 guard formation.
