If the university wants to get ahead with NIL crowdsourcing, just offer 1 free beer concession voucher at Dome sporting events for every $7 pledged to the collective.

Helpful and all, I know, but I was struck on first reading this that it's a far cry from "would you like to round up to support make-a-wish?" or similar initiatives I am accustomed to. That fans are having to do this, and that it is in-play in the same realm formerly reserved for works of charity.

It’s still optional - just giving you more choices with where to allocate those 37 cents.

Since the beer costs $15 you’d probably have to donate much more than that to get a free one

You realize that all those charities that you donate your pennies to at those companies, they are using the donation purely as a tax write off, right?

Every restaurant on the Hill needs to be on this list as well as every brew pub in the greater Syracuse area.
See if they can get Wegmans involved.
