That being said, before any of us lose our minds over this hire, take a look at the Auburn HEAD coaches resume. Auburn just played for the National Championship, and has a higher recent profile, football wise than Syracuse does. They hired Gus M. to be their HEAD coach, not a position coach, their HEAD coach. I do not have his bio right in front of me at the moment, but he was coaching high school football not all that long ago, and the rest of his experience is not all that extensive or impressive to say the least. Things seemed to work out pretty well for Auburn regarding that hire. None of us know how well this will work out, change is scary, because we care, we get nervous, that's normal. I personally have to put and keep my faith in the wisdom and knowledge of HCSS. Things seemed to work out pretty well for Syracuse regarding that hire!
