New Premium Parking lot available...

We are pleased to inform you that a new premium lot has become available for this fall. The Veterans Administration (VA) Garage is available for all Syracuse University home football games!

Located just to the west of the Carrier Dome, next to the Irving Garage, it is just a short walk across Irving Ave. to the Dome.

The season price is the same as all other lots west of the Dome - $175. As with those lots, you must be an annual athletics donor of $125 or higher (with any Preferred payments counting towards that).

I had the option of getting a place in the garage for BB season, so I asked on the BB board for advice: should I make the switch from my current garage on Comstock? The advice I received was that it was OK if you got there several hours before a game in order to get a space close to the exit or the second option was to leave several minutes before the game was over in order to beat the rush to the exits. Neither option appealed to me , so I maintained my status quo.

I recommend that anybody considering the VA garage to ask for opinions here to maybe avoid heartburn down the road.

Good move. I've parked in there for BB before. Not pleasant

I must have missed that post. I park in the VA garage for basketball and love it. It doesn't even open several hours before. Getting out isn't that bad except maybe the 30k crowds and then it's 20 mins max.

Last time I parked in the VA garage they handed out flyers stating no tailgating and no alcohol on the premises due to it being federal land. Just an FYI.
