As they say, where you stand depends on where you sit. I sit 600 miles away and I have season tickets. I make it to the Dome for a couple of games a year. Now that we are in the ACC I got to go to NCS and MD last year and get to go to Clemson, BC and Wake this year. With ND that will be 5 games this year.

My family is all gone from CNY, but my wife has family in NYC and I have many friends from my 30 years of working in the city. For us, the MetLife games are great and are fast becoming a tradition for us. This year I am hosting 10 family and friends.

Playing top teams once a year in MetLife doesn't seem to me to be such a bad thing. SU season football tickets are the biggest bargain I know of and I don't think season ticket holders are being slighted in any way.

I would imagine that the NYC area has by far the largest alum group and is a very important asset for the university. I think the AD ought to be trying to tap into the largest market in the country at every opportunity he gets. Just seems to be common sense to me.
