Would be a great way to show recruits the tradition and sustained success. Guys from different generations talking about how things changed and what they have in common. The national championship stands on its own but all those final fours pretty close to as great. Include the danforth final four team of course.

Only 15 other teams have as many.

Lots of talent and names on those lists as well.

Right. Let's do an annual nostalgia show to demonstrate what we used to be.

If you do it right who cares? We need juice and energy and this stuff is good for current and future players to be around. We want more kids to see that they could have this in their future, being celebrated in front of a giant crowd.

I see it more as highlight the past to give the present a major kick in the ass.

Fair.

Undoubtedly, folks will view this as they see fit, as we all do according to one's perspective.

Currently, it simply makes me think more along the lines of 'the way we were' or the like than it does anything else. Especially, coming off this 20 year celebration along with the broader scope of our current state. I have to imagine hoop recruits likely have some awareness of our fabled history, etc., without the need to be reminded of it formally in some way.

Moving forward, especially in this new realm of college hoops, what really is going to present a "major kick in the ass" to our program, IMO, is the change needed/required to achieve and sustain the successes that Syracuse has been accustomed to.

I think it’s a good idea.

You do what you can to get NBA players back and with the current players and recruits.

Get MCW in the house. Grant and Rak were on that ‘12 team too.

Rak isn’t in the NBA though…

Make the 1st one before the 1st game. Pick a team/yr that did well and have them get the team extra charged up for the season.

I think his father in law had a cup of coffee in the league though.

Oh, you mean that washed up former minor league baseball player? ;)

You sound overtired
I know. I should just enjoy it for what it is. I'm just so fed up with He Who Refuses To Leave that it's tough, especially since he more than hinted that he plans to stick around.

Our Final Fours have come in 1975, 1987, 1996, 2003, 2013 and 2016. So if it's an anniversary, they should be held in 2023, (now), 2025, 2026 (two combined) and 2027. Maybe 2013 could be 2033 and 2016 in 2036?
