You're mostly trying to beat guys to the edge, which is what his speed is made for. If he lines up outside with Willis in the backfield, defenses can't key on it. They have to respect Willis. You run the same action with Willis sometimes taking the handoff other times faking the dive and sometimes James takes the handoff and sometimes fakes the sweep.
