Yep. He’s on the list. Better believe itSomeone whose opinion I trust loves him. Says he gets more out his players than most coaches. Thinks he’s eventually going to be a good one…..and thinks he’d be a good fit at Syracuse.
Tough place to win at.
I'm sure he'd like to have had a little more success.
Beats the single digit wins totals they had before him.I'd like to see him win his league, and maybe win 20 games. So far, he hasn't done better than 5th, and this is his 3rd or 4th year.
It’s Niagara he has done well under the circumstances. He hasn't shown much so far.

Just one opinion, but I think he could really energize the locals. Short of a big, national name, he might get the most buzz, locally.Someone whose opinion I trust loves him. a school's quarterback becoming their basketball coach has to be a first in modern timesSomeone whose opinion I trust loves him. Says he gets more out his players than most coaches. Thinks he’s eventually going to be a good one…..and thinks he’d be a good fit at Syracuse.
Joe Mihalich did a real good job there and then took over Hofstra where he did even better.I see they haven't been a good team in about a decade, save for one year they won 19 games and made the NIT.
But right before that, they had 12 out 14 winning seasons and won 20+ games 4 times in that stretch ending around 2010.
So, it's not like it can't be done. Niagara has some tradition, and it's not all the way back to Calvin Murphy.
He hired his brother, Michael, in SU’s athletic dept.I’ve been told by numerous people that Wildhack loves him. I don’t get many basketball nuggets but this is one I’ve heard consistently.
This is absolutely a fact. Beilein used to be one of those people as well but not anymore obviously. Greg will be a guy. I know Greg very well and he would be honored to be a part of SU basketball trust meI’ve been told by numerous people that Wildhack loves him. I don’t get many basketball nuggets but this is one I’ve heard consistently.
That would be two disasters in a row. He’ll have experience. He inherited a disaster with no notice. He’s made the program better. His bosses have noticed and so have some of his peers.
He’s going to get a better job.
I'm going to side with Matt on this one and go against the majority in this thread on Paulus. He may very well turn into a great coach, but I'd like to see a bit more before I get too excited about him. I know he took over a bad situation, and I realize there are some "buy games" that Niagara has to play out of conference that hurts his overall record. But I'd like to see more conference success at this point in his tenure. We'll see how this season goes and I might be more excited about him.I'd like to see him win his league, and maybe win 20 games. So far, he hasn't done better than 5th, and this is his 3rd or 4th year.

That’s not a top ten issue for 99% of players. How does he recruit here? “Hey guys, come to the school that I snubbed even though it was my hometown school!”
