Nice game for Phil

My screaming for him to get a slider was heightened on the top of the sixth when Ohil struck out Kipnis. The pitch wasn't a slider but it acted like one despite Phil showing a lot of knuckle on the release . It dropped in on the lefty batter like a hard slider might and Kipnis was back in the dugout. A developed slider makes Hughes the pitcher we and the Yankees dreamed he might become. There must be someone that knows someone here to get that process moving. Hughes isn't a geezer and should be able to master that pitch inside a year.:bang:
