Will 2016 be the Year of the Irish?

Notre Dame, coming off its fourth final four appearance in the last six seasons, is ranked No. 1 in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine NCAA Division I Men's Preseason Top 20.

Denver, which outsted the Irish 11-10 in overtime in last year's national semifinals en route to the Pioneers' first national title, is ranked second, with Duke third, Maryland fourth and Syracuse rounding out the top 5.

Interesting that they have Syracuse ranked in the top 5, clearly the highest I have seen them in any pre-season polls so far. Honestly its a little high for my liking, a lot of questions on offense right now, that I need to see how Desko and co plans on answering.
