I wouldn't mind the Statute of Liberty New York pride jersey design somebody made a couple of months ago or a jersey like this one above. I will be pleasantly surprised if we get Nike Combat jerseys as it will atleast show Nike is giving our football team some attention. With a national TV audience against the preseason #1 or 2 it will be great for recruits to see us in Combat jerseys. I just hope they incorporate Orange into the jerseys as well as the helmets.

I have yet to see one single NIKE special edition jersey (either football or basketball) that actually looked good. These things always look like ass. Personally I'd prefer the team stick with their current jersey.

The Boise State and Army/Navy pro combats were awesome.

look out for the Syracuse upset over #1 USC in the meadow Lands, my boyz are gonna be swagger out with the #NikeProCombat Jerseys!!

Hope it's true. :)

Compliments to BleedGreenandGold97 on Nunesmagician. Apparently a very talented person as they responded post haste to the U of Maryland/Maryland state flag/UnderArmour- Cuse/NY state flag challenge posed by Keeley. Me personally, would pass on some so outlandish such as this. I'm a big fan of being "understated" and conservative as opposed to the no holds barred approach that has been the trademark of the combat uniforms.

me too,but the kids like the other stuff. the established elite football factories don't need the glitz, it seems the rest of us might. i want the simplicity as well as you, i think it has more class and style----but i'm an older guy

Kids like it, and it's all about perception. Having the special edition stuff makes us seem special. Why else would kids go to Oregon? It certainly isn't their history of NFL development.

I thought the Mets were going with the Pinstripe/prison bar look to honor Madoff?

Wow...talk about poor reading comprehension...I see a baseball Jones hr thread, met and get this wrong big time!

As a lifelong SU fan and alum, that uniform literally brings vomit chunks into my throat. SU is not a SUNY school and shouldn't have the state emblem on it's helmet.

Merely a concept done by a poster on Nunesmagician last year not too long after Maryland came out with their flag inspired uniform.

Nothing official or university sanctioned. Plenty of tongue in cheek (at least I believe). I hope it was more a statement of the outlandish design than actual exercise on current fashion and fad.

P.S. I guess you didn't care for the strategic placement on the cod piece either?

I was told recently that the Deputy AD (Baumgartner) went back to Oregon to finalize the Pro Combat Uniforms for the USC game. Apparently, this is true..
this is fantastic - SU is going to get a lot of pub for that game and the NYC area recruits should love it - now just nee to find a way to win the opener and score some points against U$C

I know some of the locals are pissed about not playing the Trojans in the dome, but this game in Metlife could be HUGE for the program.

Important recruits that SU is involved with are on record as saying they like the pro combat uniforms.

I hope they're orange and not blue or duct tape.

It will happen.

That is fact.

I thought I heard that the uniforms will incorporate the Ernie Davis era uniform.

'incorporate' - of course they will, only in a way that makes them completely unrecognizable

I know it's just a rendering but it's awesome it's like the two figures on the thighs are saying "Behold the awesomeness which is his junk."

Would love to see something different.. I like that Nike gives us attention and having more than the old school is fun. I like/prefer teh old McNabb blues, but I do like to see something different once in a while.
