It's the complete failure to set reasonable guidelines, or even enforce the rudimentary guidelines that have been established, that threatens to destroy what we love about college sports. Recruiting HS players, and especially transfers, with NIL inducements needs to be addressed. In terms of enrolled players receiving outsized payments, I don't know that there is, or frankly should be, any putting the genie back in the bottle, but assume market forces may prevail and things will settle down at least a bit.
