Contrast that with kids who are getting academic scholies if they are lucky, and doing the rest with student loans or Mom and Dad's $$$. Many of those same kids will make positive changes in the world with their SU diploma. I donate to both the academic side and the athletic side, although it may surprise you that I have not donated billions. Shocking, I know. That said, as much as I love SU sports, the bulk of my annual donations go to my old academic department. I may have Ernie's autograph on my desk, but the SU education I received laid the groundwork for a very successful career and thus a comfortable life for me and my family.
