It's one thing for a pro team to face the issue of in-person experience vs tv because their fan base lives in relative proximity to the game. The Iowa fan base isn't just concentrated around their city. They're dispersed across a big state. The time/hassle investment to go to a game is really really big. It's rarely worth it for me to drive <10 miles and deal with the parking/cost/time commitment for the pro sports teams in atlanta. if they were 4 hours away, there's no chance i'd go regularly.
