The highly successful high school coach who never punts has another radical idea

This season the Pulaski team is 5-1. They play what looks like a national schedule losing to a team from Utah. This school has to have big $$ , they have a 65 man squad too.

1) I'm sure this has been addressed previously with this guy, but what was the program like before he started implementing the no punt strategy? 77-17 is nothing to scoff at, but if the school was already winning at, let's say, a 75% clip, his success might have less to do with the strategy than it does the talent at the school and the execution of their plays.

2) Trick plays and slow developing (typically) 'money' plays generally come with a higher likelihood for turnovers on a play-to-play basis. Let's say your team averages 2 turnovers per 60 plays. If you go for bigger plays and drop the total to 45, will you still turn the ball over twice or maybe just once, or not at all? If he can find a way increase the average yards of the plays without also increasing the likelihood of turning the ball over, then he's on to something. I'm skeptical that both can be done at the same time.
