Not a huge surprise, not much of a market for an 0-2 Syracuse team versusu a 1AA that just lost to something called Merrimack.

For the record- Merrimack is Division 2. They play in the NE-10 Conference with Le Moyne.

All the 1AA games have televised by TW. Due to the new television agreements with the ACC that obviously is no longer a viable option.

"In the past, ESPN has sold TV rights to games they have designated as online only to a local entity, such as Time Warner Cable Sports Channel, but a deal could not be reached this time to show the game on local television."

Sounds like TW didn't want to buy the broadcast rights from the ACC for this game. Don't know if this is a one time thing, or if this will happen every time we're on ESPN3.

I mean, Le Moyne doesn't have a football team. But pretty much.

LOL, I know they don't have a football team but if they did and Wagner lost to them I think this would be the equivalent.

I think the next closest college level football team in upstate NY might be my alma mater at Utica.

Maybe it will help with the crowd size if the game isn't on locally?

Should help a little, remember its still on ESPN3 though so anyone with even a remote knowledge of computers/tv should be able to stream the game.

Surprised a deal couldn't be reached, with TW being pretty much shut out of most if not all of the future fball and bball games this would have seemed like there one opportunity to get a game and have the replay rights. I wonder if the cost was just to much to justify for one game. Either way someone should check on Dale Drypolcher make sure he isnt crying alone in his basement.

I don't anticipate many espn 3 games going forward so its not a huge deal especially in football where its likely 1 game a year unless we stink

basketball is tbd as it hasn't been announced on tv for some non conference games

What annoys me it that Wake /Louisinana Tech is on ESPN3 according to the ESPN blog at 12:30 but is also carried on MSG+ because there is no other programming at that time.

Wait till the phone calls at 4:05pm when the locals figure it out after coming in from raking the season's first leaves.

If only there was some other way for them to watch the game. Perhaps we should fill the quad with leaves before every home game?
