  Noone is 100% confident in Hop, how can we be he's never had the role of Head Coach at Syracuse?   But, he has had the opportunity to be an understudy to a master long enough to have learned quite a bit.   He's also proven to be a tremendous recruiter and has generally shown to have a personality that will satisfy alums and everyone else that matters.    So as a Syracuse fan you have to be about as confident as you can be (without having him actually have done it) that when it comes time for JB to step aside Hop will do a great job.
 
    Not sure how anyone that is an impartial observer can be so confident in Ollie.    That is not to say that he won't be successful, maybe he will be.   But with all of the challenges that UConn is likely to face, I would put the job in the hands of someone with a track record if I were the AD.   That said, maybe JC will be back and be around for many years yet and give Ollie time to build up that experience as an assistant.
