He’s only one of the best players in the league.

He has an enormous contract with a full no-trade clause and an opt-out in two years. So there are huge hurdles preventing a trade. He can complain all he wants, but at the end of the day he's probably not going anywhere. And if he wants to cash-in with the opt-out, he would be best served by continuing to put up numbers in Colorado and not pout.

This drives me nuts. The Rockies bid against themselves and Arenado got all their money, causing the ensuing dumb market for third basemen.

Unless that opt-out goes away he cannot get traded for much of anything.
