2008-09: 1 loss to Cleveland State on a buzzer beater: 3 seed
2009-10: no losses: 1 seed
2010-11: no losses: 3 seed
2011-12: no losses: 1 seed
2012-13: no losses: 4 seed
2013-14: no losses: 3 seed

so from 2008-2014 we had 1 loss in the non conference

2014-15: 4 losses to California, Michigan, St Johns, Nova probation, but most likely NIT, or last team in
2015-16: 3 losses to Wisconsin, St. John's, Georgetown: 10 seed
2016-17: 5 losses to South Carolina, Wisconsin, St. John's, UCONN, Hoyas: NIT

the last 3 years 12 non conference losses

My point, we need to win the non conference games, period, this is why we are struggling to make the NCAA

Good point and data.

Not disagreeing with your point, but wanted to add to it. We've also just had our worst 3 year stretch in conference play. We had never had back-to-back years at .500 in conference play, and now we added another 9 conference losses this year.

We've not only lost far too many non-con games, but far too many in conference too. And that's because we haven't been very good for 3 years now.

ACC is tough and brutal. Both Duke and UVA were 11-7 in conference play. However they took care of their non-conference slate.

If only we had the full allotment of schollies those three years you mention and weren't tapped out...oh wait. ;)
