...is on CBS right now.

As I watched that game back in 1982, i had two recent Sports Illustrateds on my coffee table:

I couldn't help but notice the similarity in the team's home uniforms. Georgetown, of course, wa snot in their home uniforms for this game. But at the end, when Fred brown inexplicably throws the ball to James Worthy, thus ending the Hoya's last attempt to score, I couldn't help but think that Fred got a glimpse out of the corner of his eye of what his brain identified as a 'Georgetown' uniform and instinctively passed the ball to what, for an instant, he thought was his teammate. On such things can national championships be lost.

Just after the second half started they broke in for what they called a special report but was really just an update. I gotta say I was annoyed. Can't they just have a scheduled time everyday that the networks and general population can plan for? There aren't going to be any sudden developments that will affect the whole nation and people are interested can then know when to be in front of the TV to catch it.

Two great elements in the highlights:
Michael Jordan showing what he would become.
And the ending...BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

I LOOAAAAAAATHE G-TOWN!

GO ORANGE!

I wonder if all the football programs(like us) who wear about 6 different color uniforms over the course of a season ever get confused?

How did you guys watch basketball without a 3 point line and especially without a shot clock?

I find it interesting how that game had good flow without either one. Of course I know not all of the games were like that. Watching guys that finished at a variety of areas on the floor and seeing big men use actual post technique was so much better than seeing the dribble dribble dribble jack from three game that the current game has become.

Tell you what, I watched a SU-Georgetown game from like ‘83(?) when Leo Rautins was SU’s star, on YouTube before...game was played at breakneck speed. Both teams were pressing and looking to beat the other team down the floor as soon as they got the ball. Obviously that’s cherry picking a great game, but what I saw there was way more entertaining than any games I’ve seen recently.
