George and Kiyan can get you a lot 1v1 if they have a slow unathletic guy guarding them. Put a guy with some more serious p4 speed and strength on them and they quickly go from focal points in the offense to black holes. I wish like hell we could push JJ to a bench role against tougher comp. His defensive effort/hustle was on point in Vegas/against Tennesee, but these last three games he has regressed to the same spacy lazy bs that made us distrust him in the first place. But I would only feel comfortable limiting his mins if we saw George or Kiyan actually own their matchups against a serious team, but so far they have only done that against scrubs. They are also not clearly better than him on the defensive end (especially Kiyan). Until they prove they can do it against the best, we will need significant minutes from JJ.
