They finished their season 9-4 with a 5-2 record in the BE.  Btw, they lost their last 3 games ad 4 of 6 including their bowl game.  As you know, Syracuse also tied them for a share of the BE title with the same 5-2 league record (as an aside we started 0-2 last year, sound familiar). 
 
All in all, those are the facts of Rutgers 2012 season.  Yet you keep running with that well-thought out theory if if fits your needs.
 
I guess the the other thread on scheduling easier is spot on because if people who allegedly know football don't understand SOS then recruits and casual fans never will.  Just schedule W's and the sheep will be happy.  It actually should garner strong consideration.
 
The problem is then everyone will have to replace these posts with posts about how bad our schedule is and we should be scheduling tougher teams.  Syracuse fan base, gotta love em.
