And in so doing, we actually landed the best candidate that was the right fit for our program.

What it actually implies is that we finally have competent leadership atop the athletic department, which is why the three aforementioned things happened, and happened swiftly.

In the 16 seasons post-McNabb, we've had 3 seasons of mediocre "success" [maybe 4, depending on how low you set the bar].  Kudos to the AD for trying something different and getting with the times in terms of modern collegiate offense.
