I like Girard offensively for the most part even with the annoying turnovers. He's playing with more confidence, which is huge and he's a pretty creative passer, which also leads to a few more turnovers, but generates offense more than a Triche-type (pretty careful with the ball, but not the most creative passer).

The thing I'd like to see him do a bit more of is changing speeds, changing directions. He doesn't have the greatest handle, period, but he also spends a lot of time in one spot dribbling or picks his dribble up with nowhere to go. Some of that is unavoidable, but some of it can be improved with more discipline.

What I do love is when moves well without the ball, catches it on the moves and is in position to attack. He can sometimes find himself an open mid-range jumper and he's pretty good at firing the ball back out to shooters when he's got the defense moving.

Torrance did a nice job I thought. The charge was a BS call, IMO, and he had the other bucket as well and drew those two fouls. He also is soooo much more active on defense. I have to think he'll get more opportunities as the year goes on.
