I believe choking out is meant to be viewed akin to an MMA fight and b****** is a common and unfortunate term used by some people when referencing weaker individuals. Then they made a major gaf when trying to clean it up for a media interview.

While there is no excuse for their action to begin with, this is a teaching moment for the coach. On the bright side, the coach is on top of the matter. Hopefully, this is an instance where the young adults recently aged out of being kids learn from their mistake and make changes in their own lives.

I think the lesson learned will be more about what you say to the media than the language athletes use.
