2 Things: (1) Mocking UConn for being in their current predicament, wishing them ill and not wanting to play them a 'la Nova or GTown, are totally irrelevant to the point(?) you're trying to make here. So...if UConn hadn't won the NC last year, would it be OK at THAT point to not want to play them? They are arguably our 3rd greatest rival after the aforementioned GTown and Nova, and we've resurrected those 2 series. Why? Because they serve our best interests in recruiting, etc., whereas a game w/ UConn does not. Its for those and similar reasons that UConn has been repeatedly passed over in CR & why playing them again is NOT a priority. Their geography is their biggest drawback, and other than the merits of competition, which has NEVER been a priority in CR, playing them serves little purpose. Its not personal...just business. Not to mention that kicking them when they're down is just par for the course. Additionally, here's something to ponder once you sober up...or is it IF you sober up ;): If the situation was reversed, do you think the Boners would be as magnanimous towards us on their forum? If you do, I have some oceanfront property in Idaho you might be interested in. (2) All due respect, but this OP smacks of "trying waaay too effin' hard", IMO. No one is "ducking" UConn & if the game can be made, then so be it. But to throw them a lifeline simply because they've won 4>1 over us, is illogical on its face. We've had great games in the past w/ UConn, & they're a great program. But I can give 10 reasons why we don't need/want to play them and none of those involve "ducking" them. Not wanting to play UConn & wanting to watch them "whither on the vine", versus "ducking" them- which implies fear, are 2 mutually exclusive propositions. One does NOT have to equal the other, as your rant seems to imply. JMHO
