[QUOTE="Alsacs, post: 623713, member: 652"] The money that Syracuse is getting from the Metlife games shouldn't matter to us fans. While we want SU to be flush with cash I could careless if they profit 5 million a year or 15 million a year as the University is doing fine either way. 2. I could careless about playing in NJ for recruiting we are close enough to the state that any recruit's family is only a car drive away from campus. 3. We only needed the ND series if we were stuck in the Big East making 3 million a year in TV money with 15 million a year in ACC money it makes no sense playing ND in a 2-0-2 series. Syracuse has gotten home and homes with a lot of schools Penn State, USC, Virginia, Florida State, Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois we don't need to play Notre Dame as they aren't a football rival, if we played any BCS school in a home and home it would be better than playing a road game in South Bend and then a neutral site/road game against Notre Dame in Metlife when the crowd will have as many ND fans as SU fans if not nore ND fans. For the USC game at Metlife the stadium didn't even sell any tickets to the upper deck of the stadium, as SU and USC couldn't even fill the lower bowl. The game was pointless and did very little for SU except make a home game a neutral site game. The fact last year we played 5 games at the Dome is unacceptable and the fact we moved the most appealing home game from last year 300 miles away and the stadium couldn't even be 2/3s full is a joke. This Metlife series is stupid if we are going to move the most premium game away from the Dome. Explain how Dr. Gross could only have 5 games on the Dome schedule and if he was going to take the payday from Missouri last year why did we need to take the payday for USC game in NJ. The people who are defending these NJ games at the expense of Dome games are the fans in the NYC/NJ area who want close games, I am not the AD of SU, but I wouldn't alienate my local fanbase and then expect them to come out and support the team.
