The people we're arguing about are these 10,000 fans you say will show up if Notre Dame is at the Dome. (Though you can't say that ND would agree to play in the Dome or that another name school (e.g., OSU or Michigan) in 2013 would either. Iowa is not moving the needle.) I say if they're only showing up because one of these name schools are there then they're not Syracuse football fans -- they are fans of events. These are not people who are going to watch Stony Brook.

If the SUAD thinks playing in MetLife makes sense -- financial, recruiting, whatever -- that's good enough for me. I'm certainly not going to be swayed by the people who leave with 10 minutes left in the 4th to get a jump on Camillus traffic.

(And I have no reason to believe that 40K at MetLife for USC didn't trump 45K at the Dome.)
