Desouza has very good stats. Facing off at 65% this year and the high 50s for his career. I think you could give them a little more credit for their work in the transfer portal. Kirst did come for Newhouse but not sure any other of the transfers did. I have to imagine Simmons was recruited by more than just SU. Mark had some questions about his level of competition but I have to imagine a lot of other teams wanted him. He has been pretty open about wanting to come to Syracuse since he was a kid. And credit to the staff they did bring in two SSDMs but they just didn’t work out.

Beau Pederson from Princeton is in the portal at SSDM and stands at the prototypical size. SU has not had good luck with Ivy transfers but still seems like the type of player that SU needs to target. He was an honorable All American last year.
