They are literally playing box lacrosse out there with their passing and finishing (minus the ridiculous bonecrushing picks from behind that are legal in box) BUT -Our weakest link is still our SSDMs: Jake Spallina got beaten for a few goals (someone needs to teach him how to hedge and at least slow down the dodger when his man is picking our longstick), Bolognino got beat, Ochoa got beat badly, and even Rice (who is great) got beat, BUT our inability to slide and support our SSDMs is frustrating to watch. They’re getting dodged on from X, and the dodger gets all the way to the goal without anyone sliding to help? That’s poor coaching. Please slide early if a SSDM is getting beaten -Hottle and Anderson are both significantly better players then Rhoa, and both of them need more touches. Rhoa’s catch and shoot is good, but that’s about it -We’re lucky that they didn’t put a SSDM on Thomson. Other teams will. We need to be ready for that, and possibly swap him with Anderson if other teams do it Still, congrats to Coach Gait!
