People clamored for the coaches to move some LSMs to shrorty, and they did that with Brett Spallina and Bologino. Results were mixed but I think they are trying things. Some guys just aren’t built to play the position. If your asking “why not this guy”, I’m going to guess that they tried in practice and it didn’t go well. I think this is a really a recruiting issue that is hopefully addressed in the offseason (they lose Rice which is massive). But right now they just have to cobble together the best they have and hope.
