They were never gonna be in the ACC next year.

Yeah...I think it was more of a hope, but with the pending departure of the Catholic 7 and trying to negotiate an early exit...may have been too much for the BE to deal with right now...Also, ND may be waiting for the C7 to negotiate their terms and maybe use/piggyback on that?

The plan the whole time was for them to move to ACC together with Louisville for 2014-15. The C7 and Rutgers will probably depart then too.

That's really not how we do things here.

They were never gonna be in the ACC next year.

If, somehow, the C7 had been able to move quickly and get out by July 1 of this year, ND probably would have bolted, too.

The move by MD (and thus, LVille) is tied up in the Terps' ugly exit from the ACC.

In any case, I would bet the Irish are none too happy about playing SMU, Houston, UCF next season.
