I think the best thing about this season is the change in perception. Usually, when we play big games like this, I'm quietly holding my breath. I don't do a lot of smack talking to friends, or have conversations that boast a ton of confidence. It's different this time, I'm confident. I talk to friends who are ND fans (bandwagons) and the flow of the conversation is different. I speak with pride and confidence. I'm ready/expecting to drink their tears. So, no, I don't think this would be a "bad loss" for ND. I think Syracuse is a good team, that is well coached, that deserves to garner the respect of their competition. The little brother has grown up, and he's throwing haymakers.

I doubt if anyone in their fan base would not view it as a bad loss.
They are snobs and have no respect for other programs. Doubt they believe that we are real.
A loss would probably knock them out of playoff contention.
To them, it would be viewed as a very bad loss IMHO.

From the ND board, it seems they are very confident in their defense. How highly ranked is ND on D this year?
I really hope we get the Eric from the NcSt game. Think we need to strike early... should know from the get go is Eric is on or not.

I don't know that I agree with that. It strikes me that Eric is usually a little too pumped up to start games. Then he settles in. I would love to see some long runs from him early.

No...but they do run a similar scheme with "better" athletes. So their defense isn't seeing something totally foreign.

That was an interesting point in K's presser. They've played tempo teams - Wake for example. But none with a scheme like SU's.

I read earlier this season that ND’s O-Line was suspect. Anyone know if that is true? If so, that bodes well for our D-Line pressuring their QB.

They have used 5 different combinations of lines in their 10 games. They had to replace two NFL draft picks on the line. Book can be pressured, but they haven't given up a sack in 2 games I believe. He gets the ball out quick.
