Senior leaders can get inundated with requests, and they can never respond to them all, and definitely cannot make everyone happy. This is really true when the world knows this is a hot topic.  When a BoT member asks you, I would have thought this would have more weight.  Again, you can say no, but say so.

I have no idea what the issue is or why the university wants nothing to do with AW.  I am disappointed that the parties (some anyway) will not even try.  In a time where money is key to recruiting and having a healthy university, it seems short sighted to not try to rebuild a bridge (which again, I commend you Dasher for trying to do exactly that).

I hope this is resolved someday, but it does not seem likely.
