Where should our recruiting emphasis be?
We're always going to want to harvest our own state, but can we refocus on eastern PA and NJ again?
I think we now have a good shot at increased appeal to MD, DC and northern VA recruits.
Are there any areas we write off, or is the move all good for expanding our recruiting base?

Syracuse is hitting GA hard and is also working in TX.

Taking back NJ and negative recruiting the hell out of that safety school left behind in the Sun Beast.

NY(25), PA (11) , Fla (11), NJ (7) are the core. That's the way it is now, and it will always. After that, it depends a lot who is on staff.

I predict those and more of the same: Harvesting GA and NoVA. I guess with all our MI guys we continue to take MI and OH guys too. I'd like to see us get into the Tidewater.

I think with the rise of UM Michigan is going to be a tough state to recruit, but I think we still one or two every year maybe even more than that. I think there is going to be a big emphasis on Georgia as we move into the ACC as well. Other than that our core probably looks much the same. I wish could get our foot in the door in Pa but it looks like Urban Meyer is going to make the state a huge emphasis which hurts our chances there even with PSU being down.

I believe there'll be 7 players from GA on the roster next year. I expect this number to grow to 10-12 over the next few years.

agree with Go. NYS, Florida, Pa are the big 3. GA, NJ, and mid atlantic should be emphasis as well but with the staff we have now I get the Ohio and Michigan push

5, Manley, Curtis, Lynch, Parris, Morris. At least that is what I have.

Plus Hale and Torrey Ball.

I wasn't sure about Ball... I believe he still has a year to go.

The Tidewater has a lot of roll over in coaching staffs I would hope one of these days we get a SU tie down that way. I feel like everytime I am watching a game down that way the speed is the same as college level really not kidding lol

Lots of competition in these areas--from VTech, of course, and more recently, from UVa with London having real clout in the area.

You are correct. I just checked the Game Notes for the Cincinnati game and he's listed there as a departing Senior.

So, there will be 6 GA players on the SU roster this fall. I still expect that number to eventually hover in the 9-12 range, with 2-4 incoming freshmen every year.
