To me, it seems like an awful area to be investing money.  That is probably why Steve Cohen decided to get rid of these.  He only bought them a few years ago.

The Syracuse Mets do not own the stadium.  Onondaga County does.  The lease the Syracuse Mets have with the county expires in 2043.  So I think things are on relatively solid ground until around then.

Attendance has been slowly increasing.

The S Mets actually finished 16th out of 20 teams in attendance in the IL this year.  They were last or second last the last couple of years, if memory serves.

I think having the Mets as the farm club is helping.  Their games are all on TV, the Mets are the second most popular team in the area and the quality of the team seems to be improving over time.  That trend should continue, based on the ratings experts have been giving for the Mets farm system.

Hopefully next season we finish in the top half of the league in attendance.  It is a stretch goal but I think it is possible.
