No plug in the PSU football offices for the Fridge, perhaps?
Looks like O'Brien likes to work with people he is really familiar with. He hired Ted Roof, another member of O'Leary's old staff when they were together at G Tech. O'Brien worked under Roof later when Roof got the HC job at Duke. 4 other members of his new staff coached with O'Brien at G Tech or Duke.
Thought the hiring of Roof (who replaced Tom Bradley) was a little controversial, as he had only been at UCF for 33 days before ditching mentor O'Leary to join O'Brien in Happy Valley. George must not have been thrilled about that.
One other nugget about Ted Roof. He graduated from Central Gwinnett HS in Lawrenceville, GA. The same HS that recent SU RB verbal George Morris attends.
More on the 1998 G Tech coaching staff George O'Leary put together that now has produced 5 BCS head coaches. Pretty impressive staff.
