Dino needs an OC who knows the system. If there are no internal guys worthy of being bumped up or there are no external candidates who know the system, you are stuck with our current OC.

I have never been a fan of Ward. Too many big plays given up and too many What games. I would make a change. IMO a D system like Shafer’s is the perfect compliment to Dino’s O.  It stops the run and brings it on passing downs. We don’t want a D that will allow a running O to keep our O off the field.

OL
I do think part of the problem is coaching. Refs rarely call holding anymore unless you grab the jersey or pull a guy down. A good OL coach will teach how to get away with holding. The fact that we don’t even hold guys is worrisome. The guy does have experience so I wouldn’t blame Dino if he keeps him but I would definitely consider a change.

QB
Few teams have a dedicated QB coach. Neither should we. Dino and the OC should work with the QBs. If our current QB coach can’t recruit, he needs to go. If he can recruit, he should coach another position.
