Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in 2019 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/syracuse/13202/october-weather/329675?year=2019 The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it. October 2019 10/01 88-63 = +25 = +90 133-124-17 10/02 71-65 = +6 = +96 134-124-17 10/03 59-65 = -1 = +95 134-125-17 10/04 56-64 = -8 = +88 134-126-17 10/05 61-64 = -3 = +85 134-127-17 10/06 66-64 = +2 = +87 135-127-17 10/07 63-63 = 0 = +87 135-127-18 10/08 66-63 = +3 = +90 136-127-18 10/09 63-62 = +1 = +91 137-127-18 10/10 67-62 = +5 = +96 138-127-18 10/11 71-62 = +9 = +105 139-127-18 10/12 57-61 = -4 = +101 139-128-18 10/13 59-61 = -2 = +99 139-129-18 10/14 61-60 = +1 = +100 140-129-18 10/15 61-60 = +1 = +101 141-129-18 10/16 62-60 = +2 = +103 142-129-18 10/17 50-60 = -10 = +93 142-130-18 10/18 47-59 = -12 = +81 142-131-18 10/19 57-59 = -2 = +79 142-132-18 10/20 62-58 = +4 = +83 143-132-18 10/21 67-58 = +9 = +92 144-132-18 10/22 61-58 = +3 = +95 145-132-18 10/23 62-57 = +5 = +100 146-132-18 10/24 65-57 = +8 = +108 147-132-18 10/25 50-57 = -7 = +101 147-133-18 10/26 56-56 = 0 = +101 147-133-19 10/27 66-56 = +10 = +111 148-133-19 10/28 66-56 = +10 = +121 149-133-19 10/29 68-55 = +13 = +134 150-133-19 10/30 62-55 = +7 = +141 151-133-19 10/31 70-55 = +15 = +156 152-133-19 Comments: Every spring I go to Hafner’s and buy some hanging baskets and pots of flowers to put around my house to add to the color. They are usually played out by the end of September and I remove them from the puts and put them out in the back of my lot. This eyar, they were still green and blooming at the end of October and I decided to bring them inside, (even though they are annuals) and keep them going as long as they can. The green leaves and red blossoms are giving my house and early Christmas look. I was able to do this because of the mild summer and fall we had, with plenty of watering, both by me and from the sky. We ‘won’ 20 of the 31 days in October, (meaning the actual high exceeded the average high), with two even and were +91 degrees for the month. 2019 Month by Month January -49 12-18-1 February +9 12-15-1 March -58 13-18 April +33 17-13 May -50 11-17-3 June -23 11-16-3 July +118 21-4-6 August +8 16-14-1 September +77 19-9-2 October +91 20-9-2 Octobers 2014: +103 18-11-2 2015: -37 12-19-0 2016: +4 14-17-0 2017: +224 24-7-0 2018: -108 11-19-0 2019 +91 20-9-2
