Even with a QB this bad, if you spread teams out wide enough and can block at all, teams will still have to make it easy for you to decide whether to throw, handoff or keep

The line and the QB have been so inept at blocking and decision making for so long that people doubt the system. But seeing the offense with a guy like Schrader have any success at all should bring back more confidence in the system itself

This is a completely different system it felt like compared to when dungey or the other backups ran it though. It felt more like shafer’s offense then a dino one

Broadly speaking, go fast, spread wide to run, easy decision making

Play calling was affected by the QB not being able to throw as it should've been

Why is it so hard for us to get a guy that can run a throw just a decent ball? All we need is a decent passer that is also a threat on the ground. Maybe Shrader can improve as a passer. Maybe Lamson will be the guy after he has a year to learn. What would our offense look like with Liberty's QB?

We'd be undefeated with a chance to win the ACC

Shrader has to improve over the next few weeks...we can't run Tuck 30+ times constantly
Yea really as much as he’s electric I don’t wanna see him get hurt from being burned out please allow Howard to also pummel the d along with adams. I think dino only made it so this game because he knew how desperately we needed this win to save the season.

I agree. I'm just saying that if you can have any success with Schrader, the offense must be pretty good at preventing defenses from just loading up

Spreading out forces the defenses hand. Even Schrader can flip the ball horizontally, you have to defend wide even if you know he won't throw it now

Yeah, I don't expect that many carries very often

Our WR’s need to catch the ball. Not a great pass, but Sharrod should have caught that one.

Adams and/or Howard should’ve had more carries… We have depth, run the horse, not into the ground.
Yeah, after the game I was saying to myself that I hope DB doesn't run Tucker into the ground. Adams is slippery and plenty fast, that one mive he had was sick, and Howard is just so strong. I'd love to see Tucker take a series off here and there, like when Walker and Richardson would share carries back in the day.

If we had Liberty’s QB with our defense we would go 10-2 minimum this year.

I am not even asking for Liberty’s QB just find a guy with some freaking pocket presence and can throw to open receivers.

I would like to see them add more play action pass concepts during the bye week. Take more shots down the field. That will keep the defense honest a little bit.
