Honestly, what is it right now? We run no huddle yet we do not hurry up. There are issues with communication (see the pick six versus Maryland and the timeouts x 2 at the end of Friday night). So why don't we huddle up? Get everyone on the same page. Have set hurry up plays ready to go, like when you bust off a long gainer and end up on the one yard line. Hurry up then and plow it into the end zone. Understand the tempo of a game. Also, why do we run out of a shotgun set? Almost any nose tackle we have gone up against has spent most of the day living in the backfield blowing up zone reads before they can even start. From what I have heard the current center is the only one who can snap shotgun. Well, go under center, move Trudo to center, put Robinson on the right, Palmer on the left, and hope Foy gets healthy. Our starting QB is banged up right now and definitely less mobile then earlier this year. Our backup (BACKUP) is a pocket passer. So why do we run a spread zone read offense? If the OB is not a stud then why are we running a offense that requires him to be a stud? Why not lean on that 235lb running back and our other senior running back who has good open field vision? Why did we run 22 times against Louisville? Our defense is not bad. Definitely good enough to win some games here on out. Why not help the defense, get to a bowl, continue to build the program, and tailor your team to the talent you have by going with a ball control offense with a power run game? And for the love of god find someone who can coach specials OR spend more time on specials than what you are spending. We are not good enough to give up big plays on specials and routinely get blown up at the 10 yard line on kick returns.
