uconn athletic department is in serious trouble.  they only break even because they are [URL='http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/']#1 among the nation's public schools in amount of money directed to the athletic department via student fees, etc[/URL], and it makes up over 50% of their budget already

all the rosey boneyard talk in the world doesn't change the fact that they cannot possibly keep up in the college athletics arms race.  there are only so many multi million dollar salaries you can save by tossing coaches under the bus.
