Echoing much of this thread an absolute first rate event. VERY well run from the STH check in to the BBQ to the myriad of events. Mrs. C, CajunCuse and I met Mark Coyle and his wife he they seemed genuinely excited to be a part of the program and appreciative of the support. Invited him to sneak away some game day to join us in the Fine Mess for some jambalaya. Always enjoy the chance to see our group represented so well. Ran into Crusty and Mrs. Crusty upon arrival. Big shout out to them for making the trip north. Had a chance to congratulate new groom to be Tomcat with an improvised hand shake through a chain link fence. Also touched base with TexanMark, CuseRegular, Cuse only and a couple of others. Introduced myself to Bam, decked out in bright orange sneakers though they may be worn out after chasing the little guy around all night. Not much to add from a football perspective. Watching the team walk in prior to warm ups they certainly passed the looks test. Lots of size and very little of it carried around the waist line. Quite a contrast to that now iconic photo in the hideous Orange unis of the big bellied O line. Personally I thought Hunt was very uneven. Fine in 7-on-7 drills put inconsistent when the full scrimmage began. Throws to the middle of the field were all good, but missed some open throws to the edge and threw behind receivers regularly on swing passes. Closed strong though in the red zone drills. Didn't see Strickland at all and I must have missed most of Morris good work because I don't recall anything standing out. Fredericks and Perkins both impressed and Hill showed some explosive quickness. Wonder if he might be a KO return option at some point. Was very happy with the first team D line despite the fact that half of the projected starters sat out the scrimmage. Clark may be running with the ones due to injury but it's going to be hard to keep him off the field. What a beast! Samuels may have just been Wally Pipped. On the injury front was not happy to see Thompson on crutches. Did not look good. Raymon on the other looked ready to go, champing at the bit. Guessing we'll get the word on Whigham today. Looked bad at first but he was putting weight on it and moving without assistance later. My first time to a Fan Fest, the move to Saturday deserves big props and I'm ready to go!
