Look who's #44
They probably would have gotten St. Bona and we would have still had ASU. I doubt they would have matched us up against them or Bona since we already played this season. I assume UCLA would have moved up and out of Dayton in that case.wonder if we would of played notre dame if rhode island had won over davidson?
Why the committee didn’t put Duke in the East is shocking.
They are above Purdue and would prefer Boston to Omaha.
Also shouldn’t UCLA-Syracuse and Bona-Arizona State be The matchups since 1-4, 2-3 makes more sense.
There is only 1 ACC team in the East.i think they flipped north carolina and purdue and cincinati to strengthen the west bracket.
if you go by geography down the top 16 it would be:
South- Uva, Purdue,tennessee,Arizona
East-Nova, unc, Mich St,Wich St
Midwest- Kansas,Duke(since east and south were unavailable by bracketing rules), Michigan,Auburn
West-Xavier,Cincinnati,Texas Tech, Gonzaga
There is only 1 ACC team in the East.
There are 9 ACC teams in the tournament.
They put 3 in the one bracket and the only ACC team in the East is VPI a 8 seed.
One of UNC or Duke should have been in the East and Purdue out West.
