I’m not one of these guys who ‘pines to see the back up…I’ve coached a lot of sports I know who can play with the countless hours of time spent practicing. But, what is up with the decision to not sub out wide receivers? the early day logic made some sense we were a hurry up fast paced offense so subbing out guys allows the defense to sub etc etc.
At this point, we are not that team anymore. When you see the damage that big tall wide receivers can do why are we not giving Alford or Oronde at least some token time and throw them a pass or two. It sort of defies logic because we are not a hurry up team anymore. Melton did some damage yesterday more or less because he is so big not really because he’s any good. I hate the fade but I’d pay 100 bucks right now to see us throw one to Alford or Orande against single coverage. Or just use them when we need 4 yards to let them bully the D back. I watch a lot of college football these teams are mostly rotating through three and four or more guys. We’ve stuck to our two and that’s it. Why do we even have 15 on the roster.
